    Some one please jump on this as it is the first I have seen and if I could grab it I would (if someone volunteers for me please PM). A 1946 dated M47C No. 4 with "Y" prefix serial number, later FTR'd to Mk 1/2 in 1953. Sorry for the poor pic's but it is the best they had.

    Not much into No.4's, what so special about this rifle? This one has been listed on and off for a while now.

    That is a rare beast Lance. I have only seen one post WW2 dated M47C rifle - that was a 1947 dated Y prefix No4 Mk1. World Wide Arms had it for sale at Beltring a few years ago - so sadly it was already deactivated. I've never heard of another until this one......
