    New barrel for broomhandle?

    Hello everyone,
I just got a really great deal on a matching numbers bolo broomhandle c96. The gun is in good shape except for the bore which has been corroded due to corrosive ammo. I have heard of process of putting a sleeve in the barrel that makes the gun a decent shooter again. I am not interested in having an every day range gun, but I would like something that is a little better than a smooth bore.

Has anyone done this with their gun? What does it do to the value of the firearm? Has anyone got a suggestion for what company can put the sleeve in the gun?
    Thank you
    Jeff

I re-sleeved my Bolo. I don't believe it really affects the value, but it is better than having the barrel cut and replaced. I had "The Broom Closet" in Florida do mine. Cost me about $80, and I am happy with the job.

This firm may not be the cheapest you can find but do have a long standing reputation. Unfortunately, I have not (yet) acquired a nice broomhandle in need of their services.

There is one other thing that you may be able to do and that is to have the original barrel bored out and rifling cut and chambered in 9mm.
