Thanks Lance, food for thought, i have some worn smle barrels that could be relined and used as the MkIII rear sight would also be correct, the rest could be made up with old Long Lee woodwork.

The position of the Lee-Speed markings, on the receiver ring is consistant with LSA produced commercial rifles and carbines, the style of the receiver is of the Lee Metford / Lee Enfield carbine, as it lacks the pivot for the long range pop up sight on the right.

Lee Metford Mk I* rifles, were assembled from completed parts for some years after the introduction of the later models, with dates from 1897 to 1903, mostly on colonial orders, but at least one (1897) has been noted with British regimental markings.

Not yet, I sold most of them, but kept a few back for when I get more time.

The Braendlin Armoury Receiver now has a bolt with Braendlin Armoury Engraved dust cover, which will be built up as a Sporting rifle for my self
