LK5 marking on 1937 Sauer 98k.
Posted a while back about my 1937 Sauer 98k with the LK5 marking on the buttstock. Cannot find anything but vague theories regarding this marking. Does anyone have a 98k with this marking? Apparently the majority of weapons marked in this way are captured French small arms that were later issued to rear echelon units. Would love to hear some thoughts on this marking.
