FN in kurz is going to happen

First this is my first post . Sorry no m14 grand or carbine.
Have a parts build k-98 and a turk and a enfield with a welded barrel
    I like this site

I've always wanted a rifle in 8mm kurz
Was doing a google search . When I ran across a barrel . Then well may as well have some ammo . So I have a case of ammo and a barrel on order. Would you believe kurz is cheaper than 308.
Looking forward to doing the build Not sure what fal lower to use I'am thinking a izzy as I have a dozen of them .
Again cool site and if building a fal I may as well build one that I will shoot

    7,92 and 308 Kurz

You can buy RCBS forming die and make 7,92 Kurz from 7,92x57 or 308 Win brass, that old WW2 steel cased 7,92 Kurz is very corrosive when it fires.

Also there was a wildcat 30 cal Kurz made for the M1icon carbine, it require a new barrel and you had to open the bolt face, it was a little to much for the carbine. The were other short 308 cartridges like the 308 with a 1.5 inch case too.

photo shows a 5.7mm carbine cartridge and a 30 Kurz cartridge, both fit into the carbine magazineAttachment 40010

    To be

To be honest if I can get a mag to cycle with 20 rds I will be happy. Will look for some t48 handguards in wood .
It will have a side fitted scope mount and some type of older style of scope.

    Ishapore?

Probably not good timing, nor economical, but it occurs to me that one of the Springfield, Inc. .223 caliber FALs would be a good foundation for this project.
