Why did I wait so long?????

Just got my first Carbine Club newsletter. Wow, I love it. Because of this, I have come to a conclusion: Boy am I stupid! Why did I wait so long? I have been dabbling in M1icon Carbines since about 1982 (always owning at least one since then), and I am just now utilizing this wonderful resource. DON'T PROCRASTINATE!, join now if you haven't already.

At this point, my only regret now is that when I left for work this morning, I forgot to bring it with me! Many thanks to those dedicated individuals whose hard work goes into it.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I decided in the last day or so that I'm going to take the plunge myself.

I am a long time member, since the 80's. I know it seems like a large cost, but there are 373 newsletters to date. I suggest buying the back issues. Decades of newsletters, a time line so to speak. Information, pictures, drawings. A Carbine of the Month article. There is even a classified section. Where you can see value/costs of items as the years passed. I haven't heard of anyone being disappointed.

I've been trying to make up my mind about joining. I ran across a PDF download with an index to back issues, and see lots of interesting topics. Can a member buy electronic versions of the back issues, or are they only available in print? Thanks! - Bob

i was a member from 2007-2011, im going to renew this week, i know the back issues are priceless, but do they sell just "years" so a member can just buy one years worth at a time? also, in my last newsletter from 2011, i think they said it was going to be a quarterly publication, no long a bi-monthly, is that the way it is now?

This is a link to their page.

It talks a bit about the club. Gives a price to join, order back inssues (one at a time) or as a complete set.

How long did it take for you to get your first newsletter?

It was less than a month after I sent my check and app in. The check just cleared a few days ago.
