    Just bought my first Enfield

Hi I'm new to the forum and just bought my first Enfield. Its a 1945 jungle carbine with matching numbers made in 1945. I didn't know anything about it but it jumped out at me and felt just right in my hands. Somewhere along the way one of the previous owners cut off the front portion of the flash hider, bayo lug and sides of the front sight
They also cut the bottom portion of the lower handguard to the same length as the upper one. Ill try to get some pics up in the next couple of days. Can't wait to shoot it

Welcome to the forums! Whilst your fore stock drama is a bit odd, there should be several older threads that detail the various pitfalls of installing a new front sight assembly. I'm short on time, but if nothing turns up directly, maybe I'll poke about in the dusty old threads some.

I had the same issue today and Doug (webmaster) suggested I use the Microsoft photo editor to downsize the photos and it worked perfectly in getting them to an acceptable upload size.
Good luck I love No 5 Mk 1 pictures.
