Barrel Grease
Hi just finished my stock restoration and thought I read something about having grease inside the barrel area. any help would be appreciated. thanks

GREASE, XG279 is the stuff........... Where you get it from is another matter but try Brian at BDL Ltd

Auto parts store will have it. Get a nice lithium based wheel bearing grease. The research has already been done for you in the thread linked below:
What is the commerical equivalent of XG-279?

But if you can find some of the old USGI Grease, Rifle as described by Brian Dick, it has a particularly thick consistency, and is generally a nice dark color...not that you will see it very often!
