    Na... I am going to let it go free, with no glue or pinning. I have several duffel cuts like this in my collection. And some are VERY loose. That way, someone in the future will take a closer look at it (hopefully) and see the "repair".

    That being said, I am actually leaving the fore end TIGHT, via the last barrel band. That and the nose cone, give you a VERY tight fit overall.

    The plan, when I get the guts... is to finish with a cleaning rod hole, all the way through it. It clearly had a cleaning rod, so I feel some obligation to make provisions for it. I also have a rod on order, and it should arrive soon.
