    P14 winchester

I just purchased 2 rifles, both sporters, but the barrels are intact. First one is a winchester model p14 but that's all I can tell, the serial# is W97550, I looked for manufacture dates no such luck. I would like to find out more but know where else to turn to. Any direction would be appreciated. The second rifle is a No 4 Mk1 savage some direction would be nice on that one as well serial#82C2356. Thanks again.

The No.4 is an American made Savage from the Chiccapee Falls factory
in Massachusetts. I think manufacture date is 1943.

If you look under the rear hand guard on P14 you see the date. Post pics and you'll get more info.

I'd love to get a good W P-14 barreled action. I have a W marked stock set looking for an action.

my stock set actually has a Remington action in it, currently. Nothing wrong with it at all, just want a Winchester to match the stock.
