    Hammer question

Found a type 3 hammer marked P.K. on one side and a large X on the other side. Anyone have an idea who made it and what it should be used on?
    Thanks,
    Bob

Perhaps was that the one that was on Ebay about two weeks ago or so? It was listed as a Rock-Ola hammer, but I didn't trust what it was so I didn't bid. It seems like I have heard of Rock-Ola hammers with an X on left side before. I could be mixing that up with some of the bolts I heard they put an X on too. As far as the PK stamp goes, I thought there was a chance it was a poor attempt at a KR stamping, but don't really think that was right either.

I think maybe your right. I've had this one for quite a while. I found a Rockola trigger housing that was complete and original except for this hammer which I figured was a replacement. Maybe it really is a Rockola but I can't find any reference to the markings.

Maybe it's completely unknown, and without any information to add, everyone remains quiet.

    Hey Bob,
Old list I have here that has the letter codes used by the Facilities or Sub contractors.
Shows Parker Mfg Co was assigned PK for parts they made.
Did they make your (or any) Hammers?
    Don't know.
Pretty sure they made the Comb. Tool (M3A1)
Also listed is a Parker Mfg who was assigned PR. I believe this is the company from Worcester, Mass. Makers of the PR-B marked recoil plates.

You may have to mail me your Hammer for pictures.
I know you can't do so without the wife around.

    Cheers,
    Charlie-Painter777
