I bought an original stock back in the early 80s. It cost me 125.00 which was steep even back then. I was a kid living at home with cash to spare back then. I then re-sold it back to the shop I bought it at ( for a loss of course ) and bought an AR-180. I bought a repro in the 90s and they were close but the first thing I noticed was the wood . The Cheek piece I dyed darker but couldn't do anything about the rivets back then. The Brass really stood out so I just painted them out. i also had an original jump scabbard I bought for 3.98 at Long Beach Surplus ! It was neat being a collector back then as people did not know what they had. Now thanks to Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers the market has dried up.

I'm glad they're available again - makes a decent folding stock with the right 'look' for anyone planning to use their carbine. I wonder if they're coming from Italyicon this time?

I got one from Numrich last year for one of my two I.B.M.’s. Before I could swap it out I picked up two of the Chiappa M1icon-22’s. Put one of them in it instead and fell in LOVE. They are great attention getters at the range.

P.S. – NOW if I could find some .22LR ammo, I would be happy. Guess I will have to go back to reloads for the .30 carbine!

I had to move some other calibers from in front to see what I have left in .22 to shoot. I haven't found any recently for what I consider a fair price. May never see decent pricing again. Time to set the press back up. (of course not for .22)

Are you really all out of .22LR? I find that hard to believe. Or, is this the result of the US' best gun salesman at work?

Local Gun Shows have .22LR available if you want to pay over $0.10 per round for bulk plinking ammo. Match grade ammo sells for $0.30 - $0.50 per round. Those 500 round bricks of American Eagle sell for $90.00 each if you can find them. Local department stores sell out their weekly shipment within 1 hour of the truck unloading it. I saw a pallet of .22LR, 9mm, .380, and .45acp, all disappear within 45 minutes of it being wheeled out on to the store floor. NO! I didn’t get any I was too far back in the line.

Who would of thought .22 ?? !! I gave my Bro-in-Law 2 bricks a couple months ago. He thought I gave him Gold bricks ! It was not till I checked the price of .22 crazy. I guess the days of 12.00 a brick are long gone. Lucky I have a stash of Mini Mags left .

I found one 325 pack at Wally World for $13.00 Friday. Same ammo at the gun show $60 with no buyers.
