    l42a1 question

Today I was doing a preservation service to my L42A1 sniper and I remember a thread about a bipod for these rifles. Was there an issue bipod? Or do you fit one to meet your need?

There was NEVER a bipod issued. If the rifle was to be fired supported, then the left wrist was to be supported.

Thank you. I was making sure my table of contents was correct and filled. I am lacking the Britishicon observer scope. But I have no observer so it's unneeded. I shoot left handed and build my rifle. It supports its self. this one fits me. The other one will.

It's a lens cleaning bottle complete with brush ...

You might want to try our Google CSE custom search engine located in the top right corner below the words "Advanced Search". It only searches our site using Google techniques and can be quite efficient. For example, in your case, type in the words l42 lens cleaning and see what happens ..

    Regards,
    Doug

ps: I think just a bottle recently sold on eBay for GBP 1,131.00 (Approximately US $1,787.66)

Thanks Badger. I now have the full instruction book in PDF at the cost of ink and paper. I found my bottle and brush in a Hebrew marked can in the kit. The history of this rifle would be interesting.

Don't forget that the actual kit also included a supplementary issue too. That was a camouflaged jacket, face veil, wrist watch, binoculars and prismatic compass. The first two items were called 'expense account items' while the latter 3 were what were called G-1098 accountable items.

I'm sure that I did a thing about all this stuff some time ago, Time to do a bit of research and reading-up Arado. The actual CES details came in a green card covered A4 size booklet. One booklet in each kit. Don't download, get properly printed hard copies
