Good pics ! I really like the, what looks like to be, an un-sanded corner on the Hi-Wood, the I Cut, and the other info ! The good pic of the tip on the barrel band retaining spring is of special interest ... some research is still going on about these in relation to the stocks they are found in etc. Any clue is valuable. Thanks for the time and effort you have spent in posting. Mike.

    Re Newest Acquisition

Looking at the picture of stock showing the small hole about two inches back from the barrel band, what is that hole for? My stock has it too, but not others I've seen.

It's the hole for the pin on the band spring.

I should say the pin on the band spring that holds it in place.

The hole has to go all the way through to the LH side so you can punch out the band spring for removal.

    BobK,
All of these are Hi-Woods, Don't recall if the first two are I cut, but the 3rd one is.

    HTH,
    Charlie-Painter777

    RMC - I

    RSG - I
A Type II Hi-wood with Inland CC.

The RSG - I, pictured above: showing the Irwin Ink stamps

    I can't seem to find the pictures I have of a Q-RMC and I
Along with a Trimble TN and I, but all have the Inland size CC.

Note on your stock along with the Inland CC you have the early circled P proof on the bottom of the grip.
    Really nice find.
Thanks for sharing it with us

    Regards,
    Charlie-Painter777
