Jim, Not a case of agreeing or disagreeing. The OP stated "Still trying to decided if I'm going to re-park the rifle. Your input and comments would be appreciated". I am just giving him my "comments", which is what he requested.

The rifle looks like many, many rebuilds in the light grey park. Since it won't be original any way you do it, do what you feel is best but specify to your refinisher that manganese park should be used if you want a darker finish more nearly correct for rifles manufactured in the 1950s.
