    pros/cons Norinco 308 ammo in my M1A (Norinco M14)

I find this ammo is fairly accurate, reliable, and cheap ($400 per 1,000 rds).I have read some warnings about it damaging M14icon/ garand type rifles. Truth or snobbishness? (pardon me if that's not a ral word, but you know what I mean).

Are you talking about the copper washed steel case? If so I have not heard anything good about it. Now I have heard that it was made for use in their versions of the M14icon that were going to be shipped to rebels in the Philippines in the late 60's early 70's but it never came about. I also heard years ago that it was corrosive primed. Now I have no idea if these statements were just hearsay or not. But if this is new production that is being imported into Canadaicon now I would think it would be non corrosive by this time.

copper washed, steel case, non corrosive, fairly accurate, 2-3" groups at 100yds. Similar velocity as NATO ball ( same POI).
