Value depends greatly on condition so without seeing photos, can't really say much other than I've seen them sell for anywhere from $100-$400 with most selling somewhere in between.

They are pretty rare as far as military rifles go but not greatly desired so their value does not match their rarity. They were made by the Italians in numbers roughly around 60,000-66,000 depending on your source. They are a cross between a Type 38 and an 1891 Carcano with a Carcano type bolt and a Mauser type magazine. They fire the standard Japaneseicon 6.5 round and takes the standard Type 30 bayonet. They were never issued to the army but were issued to the Navy and Naval support troops. There are many in nearly unissued condition because they did not see much use on average.

A Korean converted 99 sold for how much!? Sheesh, the last one I saw sold for $350 at a gun show. But who knows, GB auctions can bring crazy prices. Sorry for the low sale price of your Type I. They're such an interesting rifle.

I believe the correct designation for the Italianicon / Arisakaicon rifle is the type I [ i ]not the type one, 1.
