A new addition, I gave it a clean & oil and snapped a couple of pics while it was apart in case anyone was curious. Not much to it, really.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Great pick- up, Steve. I'm always on the lookout for anything a little unusual, but have only ever seen one of these in a museum.

I put a couple up on that auction site a couple of years ago and the second time got my knuckles wrapped as it was a firearm...... No amount of explaining would placate them so I adentified it as something else the next time!

There were a few different variations of these. We had a selection at Warminster
