Overall condition appears to be good. I think more pictures would have been nice. No barrel markings shown.
I can see a hand stamped M2 marked receiver, M2 cut stock, and a 30 round mag. Do you know what the internals are?
Nice sling and mag pouch. The pouch covers the stock area where the cartouche would be.
When you go see him, I would ask to break it down.

If the only M2 part is the receiver ring, is the asking price in line with carbine sales in your country?

Thank you for your answer, JimF4M1sicon.
Unfortunatly I don't know any further detail about that carbine.
We have really very few M2 carbines in Italyicon so I will take it anyway.
Sale price is €800 which is about $ 1,000
A good M1icon Carbine is up to $1,500 here.
We have many at lower price but with unmarked stocks and not original parts.

Good enough then, when in hand...you can give us a full pic collection. This will prove most interesting in the end.
    Regards, Jim

Most likely is an M2 receiver only since the 'happy switch' is not there. In the USAicon it would be 'verboten' because the bare receiver alone is considered a machine gun. Watch out for a couple of high-wear indicators sometimes found on M2s - grooves in the feed ramp from each side of the magazine and excessive wear in the slide retaining tab and receiver slide-way. The wear on the feed ramp is not critical in operation but is just an indication to check the receiver carefully. Sometimes the upper rail of the slide-way is so worn that the slide will pop out and the wear arch on the bottom of the top receiver rail can be seen with the naked eye. There is really no feasible fix for this wear. Sometimes most of the wear is on the slide tab and a new slide makes it shootable. It looks like it has a replacement slide so the previous owner may have already run into this. The slide should not be tight, but it must not pop out when pulled to the right when operating the slide, until it gets to the takedown notch.

Thanks, for sure some internal parts (for the full auto) have been removed since machine gun are forbidden to civilians also in Italyicon.

I asked to the seller to send me more detailed pictures of the barrel markings.
There are no barrel markings but just a "N" so that should mean barrel has been replaced.
Also front band with bayo lug is a post war one, not original WWII
Stock has no cartouches at all.

I think this is what in Italyicon we call a "Frankenstein", not worth the money he is asking for this carbine.

Here are the further pictures he sent me

On the barrel that looks to be a lightly struck or partially worn W.

Yes, that should be a Winchester barrel, late production.
