A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. They're all about the same. The barrel should have flats along the sides, it can be grabbed in a vise with protective plates but the receiver needs to be cared for. So many areas that can be damaged. Then they come right off, after all they're just a little carbine. You'll almost NEED to have the proper wrench for the receiver. I've done with others but I can't describe how to do it.
    Regards, Jim

You need to use a receiver wrench & a good vise. but But first I would get something that you can put the receiver in & part of the barrel were it screws in the receiver & fill the can with a good penetrating oil for about 3 days . Should con off with no problems.
