Question CZ52 & Mil Surplus Ammo

Does anybody know how to "beef up" the firing pin action on a CZ 52? Mine shoots civilian ammo just fine, but the Yugoicon surplus sometimes (okay about half the time) takes a couple of hits before it goes BANG.

    Help!
    Steve

Sounds like it could be either a weak hammer spring, dirty firing pin channel, or stiff firing pin return spring. Wolff offers only recoil and mag springs, but a vendor on Gunbroker offers full spring sets.

Be careful with those pistols, the FP safety rarely works properly, a close friend of mine was killed by one that was dropped.

Maybe the Harrington Products firing pin would help?

Might be an ammo problem rather than a pistol problem. Best way to find out is to try that particular ammo in a similar pistol. Most of the surplus is 50 years old or so and may have been improperly stored.
