m8 scabbard need belt hook?

Do all m8 scabbards need belt hook don't know how to ad photo.

No, the early ones did not have wire belt hook and were OD#3(khaki), later they were OD#7, then they added the wire hook.

This is an original M8 scabbard. Some M8's were modified with the belt hook, and the canvas hanger was lengthened.
