    Russian Berdan II range report

I shot this target @ 100 yds. today with my 1884 Berdan II rifle.

10.75x58r Russianicon brass using 330gn paper patched bullet, 20gn IMR SR 4759 (Pufflon filler), CCI #250 primer, and COL of 2.900". I used my new MagnetoSpeed bayonet mount chronograph and got 10 shots ave. around 1375 fps. COW book says ML (BP) is 1410 fps. Below is the rifle in question.

I wasn't certain where to put this post, I knew that the BP forum folks would banish me because I use smokeless!

I think with a target like that you could post it any where you want. Nice shooting and rifle. I have never heard of 10.75x58r very cool.

Pretty good, but give it a try with the usual 8" bullseye on a white background - the grouping may well be better, simply because you are aiming at a smaller area, with a stronger contrast.
And then, of course, try it with BP!

    Excellent!
    Nothing wrong with that!
Do you mind if I ask what arsenal made your rifle?
