Imarangemaster listen to wmmwraghd about your Winchester. I can assure you he knows what he is talking about when it comes to Winchester M1icon Carbines. He forgot more in his sleep last night about Winchester M1 Carbines than everyone that has commented on this thread about your rifle!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Winchester 5725850 has all the same accoutrements as yours sans two exceptions; type II milled rear sight and a round bolt. This carbine is unmolested and original.

Your two rivet hand guard is what it is supposed to have.

Thanks "WMM," Paul, Dave, Bill and all the guys. I told the individual on the other board that I value the opinions and judgement of the serious collectors over here, more than the folks at the other forum. Funny thing is, the Winchester post was the first time I have posted there in the last 9 months. I think I remember why, now....

I've had some questions about the handguard from a couple folks. It is not a bull nose. Here is the bull nose first and mine second.

WOW! the group was under 2 inches (not shooting from a rest) and the center of group was about 1 1/4" above POA, which should be dead on at 150 yards. I did not adjust anything. I am sure from a real rest, I can cut the group in half at least. No adjustments needed! I am a happy man!

    NICE!!!

Another straight and good shooter. You are a blessed man. Now let me get this straight, you got rid of the other two carbines you had? What happened? Well, this is a nice one for sure.

I gotta get out and shoot mine.

It was strictly financial need that powered the situation. I was lucky to get this for the price/trade I did. I would have been happy with a clean Winchester mix-master at that price. What I got was an exceptionally clean un-messed with Winchester. I was happy.
