m1903a1 leave as is or restore

before i do anything to these 2 rifles (restore/rebarrel) is there any reason to leave them as is.
1st one - 1919 SA reciever, barrel date 1-20 SA rifling extreamly worn on muzzel end about an inch, peterson device cutout on reciever, stock has no stamps im assuming a replacment also no notch in the stock for the peterson cutout (scant), bolt is a green color, checkered but plate.
2nd one - 1941 Remington reciever, barrel date 11-41 and has been rebored to 35 cal, bore extreamly rough tooling marks ect done very poorly, stock has no stamps im assuming a replacment (scant), bolt has B+S, smooth but plate.
    thanks
there are various other marks on the recievers and parts that i cant find any info on

Do you mean restore to original condition, or to military condition? Based on your descriptions, I would say leave as-is.
