98K bayonet lug
I have a byf 44 that was brought home by my uncle after the war. When he was alive he told me that they selected several from a huge pile laying in the street in Nuremberg. I hunted with this rifle for decades and took many Mulies with it. When they sent these home, they were forced to remove the bayonet lugs. So I have a beech laminated stock byf44 with mismatched bolt and no bayonet lug. I'd like to buy a genuine period lug for this rifle. If possible, I'd like to get a front sight protector and short cleaning rod as well. I'd like genuine stuff if possible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a source? A genuine sling would be nice as well as I changed it out to an uncle Mike's sling years ago for hunting. There is also a missing screw in the front handguard band that I used an ugly commercial screw to replace. That would be good to get as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
Dave

Libertytreecollectors has the 10" k98 cleaning rods but I would think a 44
Would need 12". Bayo lugs are available at numrich, Springfield sporters and others
