I am not sure if the Dispatch Helmets are an Airborne item only. I know the shell are the same as the Para model. I sold my original Para helmet years ago which I regret. I just remembered in the movie the Eagle Has landed the Germans disguised themselves as Polish Paras. They also had the markings on the helmet . That movie is a great M-2 carbine movie by the way even if it's anachronistic.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. My lid. Think also used by Holland, Belgiumicon, Denmarkicon etc. Also used by dispatch riders.

I can almost smell that nylon ! I never had a chance to jump with retro gear. I did do jumps out of a C-47 though. Is that a 59 pattern Dennison Smock ? I have one that was a Reproduction made by one of the original companies .

Don´t think it´s a repro (but not certain). Got it for the 2004 Normandy (Frost Bridge Jump ... where I got poked in the eye the night before the jump)
