    Recently obtained a No.32 MK3 scope and mount # 24005

From what I can glean from Peter Laidlericon's reference material, Taylor Hobson & Co. started building MK3 scopes starting at serial number 24000. If that's correct, then I have the 5th scope off their assembly line. I'll try to get some photos up in the near term. This is my first MK3 scope.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Peter:
When I received that scope I thought it looked like it had been recently "serviced". I put it on my 1944 BSA No.4 MKI (T) sniper and it took very little adjustment of the turrets to get a good bore sight. Can't wait to get it to the range.

Ah, yes...... But as I was told and now always repeat to myself AND tell budding authors........... The very first person to read your book ALWAYS knows more than you do. And do you know why? Yep..... Because he knows all that you've just written AND the tiny bit he knew before
