    K43 Markings Help

    Hi Guys...

I got a (new) K43... all matching and will be in really nice shape once I have it all cleaned up... The receiver, bolt, stock, and butt plate are all stamped with the same SN, while it's electropenciled on the mag, trigger guard, and several of the smaller bolt/gas system pieces...

Can you guys help me with some of the stamps?

    QVE45 is easy...
    Serial Number is easy...
    WaA214 is easy...

Is that a VoPo star burst?
Also, is the "X" a Russianicon capture mark?

And, what is the "DH stamp with a shield" on the underside of the barrel just beyond the action?

    Here are some pics:

    Thoughts?
    Thanks
    EB

EchoBravo: Sure looks like the VoPo starburst. My own VoPo has those "X"'s as well but I have yet to find an explanation. Someone on this forum should be able to tell us if they indicate Russianicon capture (which does seem likely).

Vopo for sure, reissued, how do the bolt parts look when you break it down?

It is an RC/Vopo. Many, if not most of the e Germanicon G/K 43s have the RC X.
Yours sounds like a typical e German rework.
The D H is part of the bbl makers code.
