    Garand Parts Dilema

Among my cache of Garandicon parts collecting dust, I have: a) a complete matching 3-piece SA/GHS stock set with large ordnance wheel and long barrel channel complete with metal, b) SA 3 uncut op rod, and c) a narrow sight base gas cylinder with front sight and intact seal with decent finish.

Should I try to find a barreled receiver to restore with these parts or should I just sell off the parts?

I figured I get responses like these :-) It was intended as a serious question.

You have a lot of parts to put together to make this build correct...way to many to just hope it falls into your hands. I'd sell them unless you know where the gun is. You could also hold on waiting for a winfall. I'd move them along. I don't need them though. My rifle's complete.
    Regards, Jim

Back when you could get and G&H mount for $600 on ebay and everybody thought that was over the top.

    I bought two.

No hope of ever getting the correct receiver back then.

If you keep looking what you need may turn up.

If you can not wait - sell

IMO some of the hardest parts to find are the ones you are missing. Its possible but may take you awhile to find the right combo

The question is what are the hardest parts to find - the ones I have or the ones I need. I'm going to gun show this week end, I'll ask some of my gun buddies and see what they say.
