    Lee Enfield stock care

I just purchased a 1916 BSA Lee Enfield No.1 MkIII*. The buttstock appears to be walnut and the fore stock and handguards beechwood. I'm wondering if it's recommended for me to disassemble the rifle and oil the stock? I have no idea when it would have been last oiled. I've been reading about stock care and raw linseed oilicon vs BLOicon. Should the forestock be removed and soaked overnight? I've been collecting mosin nagants but I'm new to Enfields. It's a beautiful rifle and I want to care for it properly. Any input would be great!

Well after doing a nice search and conversing with Peter Laidlericon over PM I realize why I've received no replies. The subject has been discussed on here ad nauseum lol. I'm leaving my new prize alone until I see how it shoots.
