    Look what followed me home!

Just bought this K98icon Mauser. Appears to be all matching numbers with no import marks. Has a mirror bore and in nice condition. How did I do?

Those with more knowledge will be by shortly but, if it's not fake markings and it truly is all matching you got yourself a very nice SS supervised Steyr. Pictures of all numbers, cartouches, markings would help.

Either way now you gotta feed it!!!...

I bought this thru a private party that had a lot of hunting rifles. This was the only milsurp on the list and was just listed as a M98. When I saw it was a numbers matching gun I jumped on it not knowing about the SS info. Was priced at $400 but got for $350. For insurance what would be a approx. value on this.

you STOLE that thing. if it's all matching and unmolested (as it appears to be), for insurance $2000 - maybe $3000 would be fair.

I am speechless at this point. It will go down to my son and grandsons. I have a RC that I paid about $400. for. That kind of luck don't come my way very often! Thank you for your insight.
