    German K98

    Dear Collectors,

    a friend sent me few pictures of this German K98icon dated 1938.
    As for what you can see, what do you think about ?
    Ar the parts, the stock and the finish original ?

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.     Excellent rifle, thank you for posting your link.
    This is the colour I like and I would expect for a stock of a K98icon.

    I don't like the colour and the kind of wood (we call it "compound wood" in Italyicon) of the stock in the pictures I had posted above ...

    I'm with you Bizio I like the aged reddish look on rifles.
    We call "compound wood" laminated wood, it never does seem to take oil or stain the same as a solid piece I think because of the glue used in the manufacturing of compound wood. Yours has the correct look to it for its age, can't really explain it in writing but the finish looks legit.
    When my RC grows up it wants to look like yours...
