Can anybody translate this Japanese on this box? Taken back from the Pacific in WWII.

I don't know how the characters were verbally read. Looking them up, I got "9 7 shiki dan tei ki baku yaku chi kaku musu teki" and " 12 hotsu hai ". My guess is there were 12 type 97 detonators for the shells in the box.

I can only find references to a T97 tank and a T97 motar. The box must be for the motar accessory. There is a mention of a whistle attachment for the shell.
