so how rare is a 1922 dated NO1MKIII enfield?and any ideal on price?

As Peters ? suggests personnel in the forum with the know can assess the weapon by its maker and lotsa nice pics as there are sooooo many of the little devils out there, bit like me asking the forum members about my vehicle 1996 4 x 4 what's it worth. So all in the forum will ask themselves ? does it have tyres, is it rusty, petrol/diesel, ute, well bodied, how many Klm's and like we all have the crystal ball that sees all in front of the computer screen.

1922 was the Change-over date for Lithgow from Mark III* back to a simplified "Mark III" ( cutoff fitted, but NO volley sights). It occurred in the "B" series of Numbers ( which ran from 1922 to 1940).

But if it is a British-made SMLE, I don't know when or if they switched back to the Cut-off after WW I ( they were experimenting with the "Mark V" by 1922-23.) BSA certainly made Mark III (Cutoff only) in the 1920s and 30s, but for export.

its a Lithgow with a crest on the side.ill work on pics maybe sunday.no import mark and wood has stamps of being rebuilt in 43.
