    513T US Property basket case

This one was quite a challenge. I didn't pay much for the rifle but I had to find a Redfield 75 receiver sight and base. The rifle was pretty sad.....the stock was just filthy and had been heavily sanded..... I guess Springfield Armory did the deed as the FJA, P and Ordnance cartouche were history. I worked on the stock for two weeks and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more. one of the front sight holes and one of the receiver sight holes were stripped.....I fixed those. I applied at least 6 coats of raw linseed oilicon on the stock and presto! The gun looks great and I wished I had taken some before pictures. I'll post a range report soon. Regards, Rick.
