Yes Sir, Our farm was on the 4th Concession off Kent Road 15. It's called the "Blind 4th" now.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I was on the 8th of Mersea, a mile east of Goldsmith church...wonder if this is considered a wandering thread yet? Odd though to find someone that was so close to home when I was living there.
    Regards, Jim

I'm sure it is, lol! We used to go to the horse races at Leamington all the time and take the back roads through your area to go visit my other set of Grandparents in Corunna.

I remember the horse races. The track is still there. You should take a look on Google earth, it's fully mapped no. You'll probably be able to stand in front of the farm and look at it. Mine no longer stands.

The new owners tore the barn down and remodeled the Victorian era farm house in a very untasteful fashion. It hurts me to drive by it when I'm up there from time to time.

Yep, I was back in 2010. I have an export/import run in late winter or early spring pending. I'll visit a few relatives and friends then.

Going back to the archive the other day enabled me to check on the page I missed.

120 million .303 Mk VIIz from Defence Industries, Brownsburg P.Q. at a million a week.

.303 300 million from Dominion Arsenal, 25 million per week (surely they mean a month), promised Jan. 41 (a note says 'now working on direct Canadianicon orders')

19,800,000 .303 chargers from Skinner Co., Oshawa at 1.8 million a month, promised 9/8/40 (note says 'now in production')

4,200,000 .303 chargers from Wallace Barnes Ltd, Hamilton, Ont. at 100,000 a week

300 million .303 Mk VIIz from Defence Industries, Brownsburg P.Q. at 50 million a week (surely a month) (a note says 'building purchased, awaiting possession')
