Correct Stocks for Early Inlands?
At about what serial number did Inland stocks go from I cut to oval cut? Also, at about what serial number did they go from high wood to low wood? Anybody have a source to answer these two questions? Help appreciated.

Thanks. I guess that's around serial number 300,000 that the stocks went from I cut to oval cut, huh?

Poyer says Type 2 stock (high wood - no I cut) at around Serial 400000. Switch to type 3 stock which is low wood around serial 4,900,000. Poyer book is known to have some inaccuracies, so I would say those are "approximate". I have seen other data somewhere that low wood stocks started much earlier in the serial chain. From what I have read, these things had a lot of overlap, ie there was some time when both were used as they went thru inventory. So I don't think you could say an exact serial number.
