    Gahendra Hammer Spring Question

I am restoring a Gahendra and found the spring is very different from the ones pictured on various disassembly pics. This spring is "V" shaped like a musket main spring. It seems to seat in a notch on the trigger guard. The spring fell out when I took off the trigger guard. The is no screw hole on the trigger guard as is other Gahendras. This spring works as I could cock the rifle before disassembly. Can anyone tell me what I have? Seems I can't upload pics.

An update. The spring seems to be a combination hammer and trigger spring. All the examples I've seen have separate springs that screw in. This spring fits in a notch and works for both. The rifle action works well. I wonder if this is a later model of the rifle

There are two types. Try asking over at britishmilitariaforums.yuku.com. There is a general forum that includes gahendras. The people there will be able to tell you all about the variations.
I don't think my shotgun has a V spring in it.

Sounds like an improved Gahendra - much more rare, barrels are also generally solid rather than damascus style.
