A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Hey Jim,

Glad to see you here. First let me say that I loved the old forum, but this one looks like it will be easier to get around, I must thank the Culvericon's for so graciously host us for so long.

This reminds me of something that happened about 15 years ago, I went to the first of the Sound Contractor's Conventions in Las Vegas. The Hilton, next to the Convention Center was sold out, so I booked into the Sahara about a half mile away. When I got there, they told me that they were overbooked and would give me a free night in their other property, the El Rancho (now demolished) and then would move me back the next day when they had room. I said OK and they took me down there. It was late at night and I was tired and got in bed and went to sleep right away. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed a bullet hole in the ceiling right over my bed. I gladly moved back to the Sahara the next day, even though it was farther to walk. JIM

Hi all..glad to be here also. The automotive forums have used this format for some time and it really does work well and has many neat features once you get used to it:-)

I sure learned a lot from forum members and hope to become more active!

    Semper Fi,

Hi Jim and everyone else too. I also have used this type format with other forums (auto, weapons, computer) and agree with M1941 it will become familiar very quickly. It is too bad that the old info cannot be brought over....perhaps later? And a big thank you to the Culvers for their years of running the board.
    Cheers, Don
