    mystery gun

    a friend owns it , got it from a relative who brought it back from the pacific islands after WWII , anybody have any thoughts ?

    Not really that mysterious...they made a great deal of variations of this gun and they were used from Civil war on...plus some. This site has them and they aren't expensive...but they aren't Japaneseicon marked... COLT FLUTED CYLINDER ARMY REVOLVER

    Here's another that's the other side of expensive...

    A guy at a gun show about 6 months ago had about eight of these Belgian revolvers laid out on a table. Some had makers marks, all had Japaneseicon (or Chinese) characters on them. I thought they were really interesting, and should have bought one. Of course the guy selling them didn't know any info about them. Really neat revolver there!

    Pinfires made it to some odd places in the world. Never seen one with Japaneseicon markings, but it doesn't surprise me.

    thanks folks , i did get the translation , its not so hard to understand when its explained , rack number kind of info , i do appreciate all the help , these are really out of my interest but friends need to know inspired me to ask , these are kinda interesting pieces ,
