Looking for L1A1 telescope #25017 (should be in the UK?)

    Guys,

I've purchased a transit chest for the L42A1 rifle, including the scope can and the cleaning kit. The original rifle which was in there was # V.36430, it was mated with scope #25017 (see the attached pictures).

The original rifle was butchered (new barrel, reworked to No. 4), the scope only was sold (/auctioned) due to a missing reticle to someone in the UKicon (while the owner kept the scope bracket and added a new Leupold scope), at least that what's I've been told.

If someone has this scope or knows where it is, please let me know - probably worth getting those back together. Attached a few pictures.

    Thanks!

I see the storage box has the Dince Hill label, they recently sold off all their Enfield Spares about two years ago, I believe it was two full lorry loads that were disposed of.

I BTW found the scope, or basically who has it.

DanL96a1: I only have the above pictured parts of this rifle. I however do have two complete L42A1 rifles with chests.

    Hi Guys,

These sort of posts should go in the following: RIFLES looking for Scopes
Please post them there in the future.

And I'm glad you located the scope!

    Cheers
