    No.4 Mk.1 elevation backsight

would or could it be possible that a Maltby manufacture No.4 to have an F marked
elevation backsight installed? would the `F` marked ones have only been installed on
Faz. No.4`s with the Maltbys only having say `S` or Singer ones for example?
I found an`F` marked backsight and i want to install it on my Maltby No.4, but only
if it would be correct to do so.
    Thanks.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. All manufacture of parts was pooled in the UKicon with an intricate system of collating needs and transferring parts. So in reality any parts on any rifles are possible. Then when the rifle gets outy into the real world, then believe me Armourers didn't go a whole bundle on sorting out 'correct' parts believe me. That is the world of the fairies and not Armourers shops. Certainly not in those that I worked!
