    Pretty nice M1917

My M1917 Eddystone was manufactured in 11-18 and has the Parker finish. Interestingly, one can scarcely distinguish between the original blued and Parker finish because the rifles were polished exactly the same. My rifle was never issued, placed into storage and lost for some 60 odd years. It is possibly one of two known original rifles other than presentation pieces in existence....there are probably more out there. It has the original W.T.& B.(Westboro Trunk and Bag Company) sling which was issued with the rifle and has the original unused cleaning kit complete with brush, pull through and oil/oiler which is factory new in the cubby. Every screw appears unturned and it likley has never been fired since factory proof. I am the 3d owner of this rifle. Regards, Rick.
