Just so there is a record beyond those I keep on these three M85's:
00400F
00402F
00448F
There are no "specific" records held on these three but they were definitely manufactured and left PH factory in 1989/1990 probably to NAVY ARMS as they appear on sales numbers either side of each of them

Andrew,
It left the factory on the 23rd of January 1987 as a batch of 6 rifles. 4 X Green stocks and 2 x Desert Camouflaged. The latter had scopes fitted but the four including yours had none.
Rifle 00252F - 100yds group of 17.9mm 10 shots
No record of where they went but assumed from the entry it was a dealer

Matt,
There are times when a human system has gaps caused by our failings and this is one of them.
00299F was definitely produced, however, it was not logged by whoever produced it and its findings were therefore not recorded officially in the definitive PH records I hold.
I can say that 00298F went to Germany and 00300F went to the Falkland Islands Defence Force so either side were recorded and yours wasn't.
Hope that helps in some way and I would be very interested for histories sake how you came by it, either on the open forum here, or a PM to me so I can keep it on file.
Regards
Gil
