    Some of the best 'smiths I've worked with use the "everything in a pile and a pile for everything" method of organization. And you don't dare mess with their mounds of stuff! Myself, I'm somewhere in between, which is probably worse than either extreme. Not genius enough to use the piles nor OCD enough to keep life simple.

    Have you seen the photographs of Harry Pope's workshop? A true practitioner of the "archaeological" method - the later deposits are on the top!
