    Krag from Norway

So who knows if a stock for a US Kragicon will fit a Norweigan Krag....

I see Boyds has a US Krag stock. I'm looking at starting to restore a Norweigan Krag...

    Anyone..?

    Sorry B, I'd help if I could - but I don't know! How about a firm "maybe?"

It won't fit any Norwegianicon Kragicon model 1912/16, as that was the carbine. I take it you are thinking of converting a Norwegian 1894 with one of the Springfield stocks? For that, I dunno.

Yes it is the Norwegianicon Carbine..

    The lower rifle.

The 1912/16 model is what I am hoping to restore to...

Here's a shot of my Norwegianicon Kongsberg, 1912/16 with full original military wood and parts. It was re-named the 1916 with the addition of the nose band put on the front foreend that was used to strengthen the wood.

The Kongsberg 1894 bayonet is under the foreend.

But as you can see it is unlike anything that the US/Springfield put out. Therefore again, I think you may be SOL for trying to use a sporterized Norwegian Kragicon and converting it back somewhat to a military look.
But stranger things have happened. Good luck and keep us appraised.

If there is any other pic I can get for you in order to assist, please ask away.

    Maybe

It only took me about 10 years to find, and then the goofy import stuff from Virginia to North Dakota, to Montana, and finally to me. Of course everyone wants their cut along the way too. What started off as stupid expensive money, turned really ugly by the time it was on my door step.
