Finally got around to it.... and a Patt18 scope question

Spent the best part of the day today stripping the remaining old bluing and rust off my PP Co Patt18 scope. When I received the No3T it was on, the scope looked as if it had been painted recently with a matt black spray. I was a little skeptical about the job so I set about stripping the paint and found active rust underneath it. Also there were flecks of paint inside the scope on the lenses which I discovered had chipped away and fell inside when the paint job was done and the saddle refitted.

After hours of cleaning and prepping, it now has a few coats of cold blue. I'll leave the oil on it for a few days before I wipe it off and reassemble.

Question for those with experience, should I lube any parts when re assembling? And if so, what with?

Lubrication.......? Only things that need lubrication Son are the slightest gnats knackers worth on the elevation lead screw, the elevation slide dovetail and if you had one, the deflection slide dovetail. You could rub a smear onto the ocular lens counter cell thread. And what grease.... XG340 Graphite or automobile graphited grease
