    Dick Culver

Working on a tribute to Dick for the next GCAicon Journal, need a relatively recent large photo of him. The one of him in uniform at the top of the Joustericon web page would be great, but it's too small for print. Anybody have anything?

Any of the ones from the post we made about Dick in our ongoing ++++ In Memoriam ++++ area of the site useful to you?

    Dick

The uniform shot at the top would be terrific, as would the one with the MG and the kafiyeh. The problem is that they have to be about 1500 pixels square for print medium. If you have them that size, I'd be your best friend Credit in the article, of course.

You mean they have to have an image DPI of 1500 pixels?

The one that has Dick with the MG is 221 x 126 pixels and a DPI of only 72 pixels...

Doesn't Gloria or anyone at Joustericon have the originals of these?

    Doug

    Pixels

To get the size they can print without blurring, divide the pixel dimensions by 300, so the MG shot would print less than 1" by about 1/2". I learned that what looks good on a computer screen doesn't do as well in print medium. We can shrink a big one as much as we want, but we can't enlarge a small one.
