Very nice Finnish Mosin Nagant found at gun show this last weekend, what is it?

Found this real nice shape Finnishicon Mosin Nagant at a gunshow this weekend and as I'm not that familiar in Mosin's I was wondering if any of you experts out their can tell me about it. I think it is straight out of arsenal storage as it was filled with a very old and thick grease and the stock is in great shape with no wear same with the butt plate finish, also the bore is like new once I went through about 10 patches to clean the grease out.

Guy selling it had two exactly the same and another guy bought the 2nd one. The seller said they have been in a collection for many years.

Bolt is forced matched to the serial number on barrel and the trigger is the best I have felt on any Mosin, very short and light single stage let off. This rifle should be a excellent shooter. So judging by the pictures below, what is it?

Go to > 7.62+54r.net for all things Mosin.
Check to make sure nobody "improved" the trigger/sear engagement, Finnishicon rifles do have a nicer trigger but ya never know...

Take the rifle out of the stock and look under the tang. You can tell what the rifle started out and what year it was made if the mark is still there.

A little different markings on the barrel than I've seen on Finn '91s. Could it be a stepped barrel variant?

I imported a beautiful lot of Finn Mosins in 2006. There were a handful with the Swissicon barrels exactly the same as yours. Very nice.

Posted this rifle on Gunboards and they identified it as a rare P-Series Finnishicon rifle with a Salerno barrel, here is the post - Very nice Finnish Mosin Nagant found at gun show this last weekend, what is it?

Being in canada as well it seems to be impossible to find these older mosins and finned mosins, i came across a 1917 sestroryetsk finned with the imperial eagle in tact but it was sold the day i went to order it. Most sites never seem to have imperial mosins, atleast from what ive seen, thats a great find you got there, maybe i should make more of an effort to try and make it to gun shows haha

It is a "P" series M91. These used barrels that were re-lined. Finnsh P-series M91.

I bought 5 of them back around 1986. I sold 4 and still have one. I had sold the one I have but, the customer had issues with it so, I traded him another and simply kept the bad one. Mine will not open after you fire it unless you use a wood block to beat it open. I have tried every "sticky bolt" trick that anyone has suggested and nothing helps. If I remember they all looked like they had been re-furbed and then stored. Only handling wear.
